All proxies are tested concurrently — a batch of 25 takes seconds, not minutes. Results stream live as they complete.

🎯

Accurate

Each proxy is tested with a real HTTP request through a neutral IP echo endpoint. No false positives from ping-only checks.

📱

Mobile Friendly

Works seamlessly on phones and tablets. The entire tool — input, results table, and export — is fully responsive.

🔒

Free Proxy Checker — Test Any Proxy Format

ProxyThis is the fastest and easiest way to test your proxies. Whether you have a list of HTTP proxies, SOCKS5 proxies, or authenticated proxies with username and password, paste them in and get instant results — no signup, no software, no waiting.

Supported Proxy Formats

The checker accepts all common proxy formats on a single list. You can mix formats freely — the parser auto-detects each one:

What Information Do You Get?

For each proxy tested, ProxyThis returns: working or failed status, response time in milliseconds, country and city via geolocation, detected protocol (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, SOCKS5), and a specific error reason for failed proxies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the proxy checker work?

ProxyThis tests each proxy by attempting to make a real HTTP request through it to a neutral IP-echo endpoint (api.ipify.org). If the request succeeds, the proxy is marked as working and we record the response time and exit IP. The exit IP is then geolocated to determine the country.

What proxy formats does ProxyThis support?

We support all common proxy formats: host:port, user:pass@host:port, host:port:user:pass, and URI formats like socks5://host:port, socks4://host:port, http://host:port, and http://user:pass@host:port.

How many proxies can I test at once?

Anonymous users can test up to 25 proxies per batch and submit up to 5 batches per hour. This limit ensures fair usage for everyone.

What does the response time mean?

Response time is the total time in milliseconds from sending the request through the proxy to receiving the response. Under 500ms is fast, 500–2000ms is acceptable, and over 2000ms is slow for most use cases.

Why does my proxy show as 'failed'?

A proxy can fail for several reasons: it may be dead (no longer operational), blocked by the target server, timed out (took longer than 8 seconds), returning incorrect responses, or using incorrect credentials. The error column shows the specific reason.

Is the proxy checker free?

Yes, ProxyThis is completely free to use. Paste your proxies, test them, and export the working ones — no signup required.

Does ProxyThis store my proxies?

No. Test results are stored temporarily to let you export them, but your proxy lists are never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than running the test you requested. All data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

What protocols does ProxyThis support?

We support HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies. The protocol is auto-detected from the format you paste, or you can specify it explicitly using a URI format like socks5://host:port.
